Baby Skeletons: Done!

Finally, I have completed my Marching Babies project! Instead of silk screening them, I decided to make stencils, as shown above.

Cue in my piece of driftwood barn board that we found on the beach and now we have a lovely little piece resting on top of two plan old screws.

Work has been swallowing up all of my time lately, I haven’t had time to do anything creative.

Today was my first day back to writing. Draft two…still coming.

Our nights last week including ‘the dinner party’, Helen coming to stay with us, going to the Street Art Exhibit at MoCA, the art walk and of course: PRINCE in concert.

He danced, sang and rocked out in high heels around his symbol stage for three solid hours. We were warned with sass such as: “You can’t handle Prince”, “I have so many hits, we’ll be here all night” and “Go home, get in your cars, you can’t handle this” – but we didn’t listen.

Why didn’t we listen! Our seven man crew, trying to hold on for the third encore. Oh yeah, Stevie Wonder preformed that night with Prince too. Dave was a little excited.

One and Only: First Draft

Doll Mobile

Amongst the few things Dave had stored in Chicago, was a glass jar of tiny plastic dolls. As soon as I got my hands on those little babies I knew I wanted to make a mobile with them. Now they swing slowly in the wind over our kitchen sink, creeping out all of our house guests.
