Stick Necklaces

Posted on

Driftwood and I are good friends. I picked up some lovely little pieces last time I went to Malibu and decided to make them into charms. I made two very simple necklaces using only gold chain and gold wire. I love the beauty of the water beaten wood so much I wanted to keep them as minimalistic as possible.

No jump rings or even clasps.

Yeah, they’re sticks, but they are pretty sticks! More to come, as soon as I go back to Malibu…eventually…

Alligator Hanger

I ordered myself a little present, and this is what I saw when I opened the box! It’s my new jewelery rack!

Well, more like an alligator head. More like both! But mounted that 9 foot baby on the wall and got to hanging some necklaces off the teeth and ta da!

Instant homemade jewelry rack.

Killing Tiny Dinosaurs…

…in the name of art, of course.

I had a day dream about spray painting toys gold and making them into charms – and since I always do what my day dreams tell me, I got on my computer and got to shopping ! I decided on two of my favorite things: planes and dinosaurs!! One can of spray paint later and a ton of drilling – eureka! Charms!

Still working on the jewelry part but here are some artsy pictures of the process so far.
