This is my side patio. Clearly, it needed some work. The easiest way to do that I decided, was to paint the very dirty concrete ground.
Boom! Instantly better. But wait, I’m not done yet. With the help of my assistant Cooper (pictured below), five rolls of painters tape and lot of mathematics later…
A pattern was born.
I added a giant goldfish for good measure and a brand new patio was born!
Adoption is expensive. It’s a horrid truth. We are blessed to know a family – adopting a second child, the sister of their first adopted daughter. To help with the expenses I made a painting to be sold at their silent auction.
It’s not what I set out to do, but I’m happy with the end result.

My hallway was looking a little boring. I’m not one for plain old white walls. So I got out some cardboard, a pencil and some watered down black paint and got to work. Using a cardboard circle, I drew on the scallop pattern on the wall. Then, with a paint brush I traced over the pencil pattern in my now signature painterly way.
I am also working on a collection of family photographs that I hope will soon cover the wall.

Apparently, trying to display xrays in your home is not a problem for most people. It was however, for me. So off I went trying to find an inexpensive light box to hang that would be big enough. I came up empty handed.
So I though, how hard would it be to make them? Turns out, it’s pretty complicated. With may a trip to Home Depot, Michaels and a glass store under our belt, we were finally able to put all the pieces together. 
Including wiring fluorescent…
And minor construction. But damn if wasn’t worth it!
Now we have two framed light boxes with interchanging xrays over our living room couch! It creates quite the eerie, yet cozy glow to any home!
With the success of our last short film, Shortcake, our team decided it was high time to do another. Mermaid is the next installment! I was a great practice in important things such as swimming underwater and trying to remain somewhat attractive, which is nearly impossible. We are very happy with how it turned out and as soon as we gain the rights to some music, it will be available to the world! Until then, here are some pictures from the shoot.
Halloween is my favorite holiday. I usually go decorating crazy to celebrate, and this year was no exception. It is an easy task though, seeing as our home is always decorated on the, shall we say, eerie side. We decided we must have a gathering of friends in order to share in our holiday spirit.

When I get the idea that I can make something myself, however crazy, I rarely can get that idea out of my stubborn brain. That is precisely what happened when I got the idea to make a lighted sign. I was thinking -
something you could find in the Boneyard in Vegas. So off I go to my favorite place, Home Depot, to see what there is to see. It took about 10 trips to the Depot and four different employee pow wows about electrical, wood types and bulbs, but finally I got to the painting stage.
Basically what you see here is a 6′ x 2.5′ piece of pine that I am painting.

And then I drilled the holes and strung the electricity to make it look like this!
Turned out better then I thought it would! We figured out a way to mount it on our wall too, which was challenging because I was pretty heavy.
Now it has a happy home hanging over our desks. Lord have Mercy!
